Our Story

DivaFam (formerly known as Diva Farms) is a nonprofit organization focused on empowering women and youth by providing sustainable farming education and community support.

Our Mission

Diva Fam empowers women and youth through climate-smart agriculture and digitally-enabled livelihood systems that transform small-scale farming into sustainable, income-generating enterprises. By integrating training, water access, and community-led innovation, we build resilient rural ecosystems where people and the environment thrive together.

Our Vision

A future where rural communities are powered by sustainable, data-driven farming systems, and every woman and young person has the opportunity to build resilient, dignified livelihoods.

More About Diva Fam LBG

Diva Fam LBG

Diva Fam LBG is a Ghana-based implementation organization specializing in climate-resilient agriculture, women-led livelihoods, and rural water systems in Northern Ghana.

Established in 2023, we operate in geographies where climate shocks, water scarcity, and market exclusion intersect—contexts where well-designed, integrated interventions can produce measurable improvements in household income and food security.

We deliver multi-year programs in partnership with development agencies, institutional funders, and private sector actors.

Our Role in Development Programming

We are an implementation partner—not an advocacy organization.

Our role is to:

  • Translate development strategies into field-level execution
  • Manage community mobilization, training, and infrastructure delivery
  • Ensure measurable outputs and accountable use of donor resources
  • Build local ownership structures that function beyond funding cycles
  • We specialize in contexts where last-mile delivery determines program success.

What Distinguishes Our Work

Operational Presence and Depth

We are not a project-based organization. We maintain year-round staff, offices, and relationships in Northern Ghana’s most climate-vulnerable districts. This enables responsive program adjustments, relationship continuity, and accountability to both communities and funders.

Integration Across Sectors

Agricultural productivity in our areas depends on water. Women’s economic inclusion depends on skills, infrastructure, and market access. Sustainability depends on functional institutions and commercial linkages. Our programs are designed to reflect this interconnected reality.

Institutional Systems and Compliance

We have managed EU, UN, and foundation-funded programs. We maintain robust financial management systems, safeguarding policies, monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks, and reporting structures that meet international donor standards.

Focus on Women and Youth

68% of our program participants are women. We design interventions that address gender-based barriers to land access, inputs, credit, and decision-making. Our youth engagement models create practical entry points into agriculture and rural enterprise.
